And Deadline has the inevitable “scoop.”

On one hand, if ever a Pixar movie seemed like a standalone, it was Finding Nemo. It’s a complete, and perfect story.

On the other hand, it’s my favorite Pixar movie, and my favorite Pixar environment. I can’t wait to go back.

On the other hand, John Carter seemed like such a bold step forward for Andrew Stanton: I want to see him do more live action. (Here’s my review.)

On the other hand, John Carter‘s marketing made a disaster out of it, and Stanton probably needs to invest in a sure thing right about now.

On the other hand, I’d rather see Pixar develop new worlds than revisit old ones.

On the other hand, there’s something magical about the combination of Stanton’s storytelling and Pixar power, so I have confidence in him whatever he does.
