In preparation for my first real trip to New York, I had a conversation with Christy Tennant, host of IAM Conversations for the International Arts Movement.

Christy started off by going right for the sore spot: What do I think of the Oscar nominations? So…

I answered by raving about one of my favorite films that went overlooked by the Academy.

But we also talked about Auralia’s Colors, Cyndere’s Midnight, and the new book, Raven’s Ladder. We talked about art, and how the prevalent “Christian understanding of art” is seriously screwed up. And we talked about a lot more than that.

Much of our conversation focuses on my “memoir of dangerous moviegoing”: Through a Screen Darkly.

I’m grateful for Christy’s thoughtful questions and for the warm welcome she gave me. I’m looking forward to meeting her in person.
